The Caribbeanz Southern Stars Steelband presents "Somewhere over the Rainbow" Carnival Night.
As part of the Aotearoa Steelband Festival, TheCaribbeanz host their annual Carnival Night at The Fickling Centre on Saturday 24th February from 7pm. Featuring very special guest vocalist, Errol H Renaud (Caribbean Soul, Sydney) performing live for the first time with The CaribbeaNZ and The Panimals Steelbands.
Errol H Renaud from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad & Tobago based in Sydney, Australia a live performer, entertainer and have toured to over 25 countriesworld wide, a singer, songwriter, composer and recording artiste with 8 albums and 3 singles all available on iTunes and major digital distribution centres, his latest 2017 release is called “Free" his music with a rich Caribbean flavour is a fusion of grooves, beats, sounds and styles with the steelpan, reggae skanks and soca riddims!
Come dressed in your most colourful outfit and join in the festivities! There will be a limbo competition, parade, carnival king & queen and plenty of dancing!
Licenced bar, Rum Punch and Caribbean food available for purchase!
($10 children 5-12; Children under 5: free) Limited tickets available at the door on the night.

Aotearoa New Zealand's first ever Steelband Festival takes place at Silo Park on Saturday 24th February 2018.Caribbeanz Southern Stars Steelband, the festival will feature steelpan orchestras from Auckland, Ruakaka, Katikati, and Australia.
There’ll be guest appearances by other local percussion ensembles throughout the day too, before an all-in parade later in the afternoon with a mass performance by all thesteelbands.
You won’t want to miss this NZ first extravaganza.
The festival will run from 9.30am - 3.30pm and Silo Park will be live with food, bar and music until6pm.
